Transit time is the time a ship or ocean vessel takes to cross the ocean from port of departure until port of arrival. From continents like Asia this can take a few weeks up to over one month to reach European harbours or North-American Ports. From Brazil, the harbour of Santos has all the direct lines to major ports worldwide and the transit time is just around 2 weeks. The shipping companies can take a few days to print and release their Bill of Lading and other documents. At Moinho we have our own export department based inside the harbour. Our team being in charge of the document handling and the combined direct interaction with port authorities can get the documents in the fastest way possible. After scanning the documents our staff can immediately act to inform our customers worldwide so no delays will take place in receiving the necessary documents for release of the containers in port of arrival. All other documents like packing lists, loading pictures, and certificates are sent simultaneously.
